So I continue to introduce my town Taganrog to you
These photos are not very qualitative but I think it's good enough. Here is some good views(you can click on it to see full size):
This beautiful building is named after and 19th century Taganrog's merchant Alferaki. So its name is Alferaki Palace(more information here). In front of the building you can see tram railway. Tram is maybe the main transport in the Taganrog.
This is one of the buildings of university I'm studying. You can see the inscription above the colons, it says "UNIVERSITY" in russian language.
This is one of the most famous places in our town - Depaldo stone stairs(more information here), but town inhabitants call it just stone stairs. On top of the stairs there is sundail. The bottom of stairs goes to the beach and embankment.
This is the monument of Peter The Great. Taganrog was founded by Peter The Great, that's why town inhabitants like this monument. Regularly in saturday here is much wedding ceremonies.
It's the Gagarin and Korolev monument standing near the building shown on second photo of this post. Gagarin was the first person in space, national russian hero. And Korolev was the person who created the rocket which delivered Gagarin in space. It's the popular place where people takes a photos of them sitting on the bench near Gagarin. I have such a photo too :)
And our town has one more reason to proud. Taganrog is the motherland of great worldwide well-known writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Therefore we have many places related with him.
This is a store of Chekhov's father. Anton Pavlovich worked here when he was young. The signboard says "Tea, Sugar, Coffee an other colonial goods".

Taganrog is a small cozy town located on the shores of the Sea of Azov. Taganrog is small on russian standarts. Its population is approximately 280,000 inhabitants. Taganrog is the second largest town in the Rostov region (after Rostov-on-Don). Here is a lot of industries, such as aviation factory, car factory producing Hundai automobiles, ironworks and many others. Taganrog is also a spa resort for Russian people, as well as it located near the sea and much southern then most territory of Russia. So in summer, we have a lot of turist from northern regions of Russia, which mainly spend time on the beaches. Many town natives don't like the sea so much and frankly I am among them. And they don't appreciate it because the sea starting to get colored in green in early July because of small in-water green algae. So swimming in such a water is not very pleasant. This is due to the fact that we have not a deep sea, although there are some benefits - it is very comfortable swim with little children. Recently, the city has become much cleaner and more beautiuful. Although historically in Taganrog cottage was dominating, recently high-rise buildings was build in town, and even created a new district, which consists entirely of them.
As an every great country, Russia has huge history. It starts in about 1st century. You can see piece of the map of Europe in that ancient time.
In russian history there was many wars, hard times and glorious moments. Russia got christianism as religion in 9-10th century. Now this is main religion in our country. But we have also many other religions presented. Islam, Buddhism, Judaism. Russia had part in almost every main Europe and world events. Russia defeated fascism with Allies(every family in our country have relation who was killed or wounded during the WWII), Russian scientist like Mendeleev, Pavlov, Lobachevsky made very much for international science. Russian art men like Chehov, Pushkin, Tolstoim Aivazovskiy, Shishkin, Malevich are well know all around the world.

Russia(or Russian Federation) is the largest country in the world. Its territory covers almost 2 territory of USA or almost 50 territory of Germany. Population of Russia is about 142,5 millions - eight position in the world. Russia has a great history started from slavonic tribes in ancient times.
